I know it is into the next month and I hadn't blogged all this time. That was why I wasn't so interested in doing this cause, Although it is an excellent and interesting subject, I am just worried that I won't keep up with it, I'll try my best.
I have been so busy lately cause my ppl really felt for what I was going through and I had to get on my manager to get me some new gigs cause I haven't played outside of the radio station and I was going stir crazy. I am skipping head a little bit, let me take it back.
After arguing with the owner and DJ, I stomped home right quick, I was so pissed off, I threw my back pack down slammed that heavy ass case somewheres and laid down in frustration with all my clothes on and just steamed. I thought ahh damn! there was a really big party event at the spot and I wasn't sure if after the owner sobered up he would even remember what went down. So I called head DJ I screamed him I was so angry with him cause he had caused the owner to act like that to help him, if he had just paid me everything would have been good. For some reason Owner felt he had to defend Head DJ. I told Head DJ that he had to smooth ova the situation with Owner because it wasn't right, the next night was a big event and I didn't want to miss it, I make a little something extra for booked flyer events and haven't only gotten half of a little pay, I wanted my money. He said 'don't worry just come through for the event its all good.'
That night we had our radio show and the guys had already heard what went down and boy were they smokin'! They started telling me how they had had to run up on the Owner when they used to play there and because the Owner felt that the music they played was too wild for his style, that he wouldn't play them, but they wasnt havin' it. They waited for him to go to bed and ran up on him and he paid them what he was supposed to. My guys said they would be willing at anytime, but I told em Head DJ said that all was good.
So like usually we packed it up at the end of the show and got ready to do the damn thang. The thing that messed me up that night was that my djs had other engagements to do, so I was pretty much on my own if things didn't go right this night My friend who always travels with me decided at the last she would go with me. Another unfortunate that night was my money was so tight I had to walk 7 Manhattan long blocks to get to the party. When we got to the door, the Owner was right there he said 'why ya here? ya not go up in my place no more!' I looked and him and said 'You can't be fuckin serious!' he took out his phone and told me to talk to Head DJ. Head DJ said 'yo mi sorry but I couldn't fix tings right and mi just gon havta give ya somting later for ya trouble.' After I finished talkin to him I tossed the Owners phone straight up into the air as hard as I could, one of the guys acted like they were gonna catch it and let it hit the floor and I turned away and left. I was really disappointed but, what could I do?
I went home and told my ppl the injustice that was done to me. At first I wanted the worse revenge, but then my djs got together and started talking real violence and crime and I wasn't happy cause we would all just get into trouble for someone who wasn't worth it at all. So even though I didn't want to I called our peace maker dj and let him talk everybody down, it was hard, we feel so disrespected by this owner cause he treats DJs like shit and he keeps moving on from dj to dj burnin' em.
It has been more than a month since this all went down and in this time the Owner has disputed with three djs one got kicked out, one quit and stormed out, he stormed right ova to tell us how he was treated, now he is apart of our team and this past week...it was Head DJ who GOT FIRED and told NOT TO COME BACK! Now he was at my new spot this week cause he got nowhere else to play, I had him dancing and sweatin and when I got off the set he tried to give me mad props but, he can take that and shove it...
LESSON LEARNED : DO EVIL AND IT WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU!
NEXT : A WHOLE NEW SPOT
